Monarch tasks Ijaw leaders on unity

Leaders of Ijaw nation have been urged to bury their differences for the common good of the ethnic nationality. Speaking against the backdrop of the sack of 11 national officers of the Ijaw National Congress, INC, His Royal Majesty, King W. S. J. Igbugburu X, the Ebenanaowei of Bomo clan, said there was urgent need for the Ijaw nation to unite against forces of retrogession. The monarch, who inaugurated officers elected to replace those relieved of their offices, allegedly charged Ijaw leaders to be committed to the development of Ijaw nation. National Secretary, Dr Bibobra Bello Orubebe, and the National Publicity Secretary of the body, Mr. Dagogo Tamunomiebi, explained in a statement that those relieved of their offices did not allegedly meet the condition for membership of the body.
