The Rivers state Police Command has faulted
rumour that four persons were killed
in Rumuekini, Obio Akpor Local government
area by suspected political thugs.

The official handle of the All Progressives
Congress, APC, has posted a tweet, claiming
that thugs loyal to the Peoples Democratic
Party, PDP, attacked and killed four persons in
the area.

However, in a reply to the tweet by the APC,
the Police Command explained that there was
indeed an attempt to disrupt voting process
but the situation was brought under control,
stressing that no life was lost.
